Friday, September 13, 2013 Coeur du Deluge Chapter Presentation - Ice Age Flood Paleo-Environments in North Idaho Location: Sandpoint High School Auditorium, Sandpoint, ID The Ice Age Floods not only began in North Idaho but have also had a major influence on the historical, cultural and physical environment of the area. We are fortunate to have two of the most knowledgeable people (Jack Nisbet and Roy Breckenridge) on the topic who will provide an informative and enjoyable lecture on this place we love and know so little about. Both Jack Nisbet and Roy Breckenridge are longtime friends and supporters of the Ice Age Floods Institute and its goal "to promote public awareness and education relating to the significance of the Ice Age Floods". Jack Nisbet is an educator, naturalist and the author of many books about the PNW including, Sources of the River, The Collector, and Visible Bones. Anyone attending one of his lectures knows that one is not enough. Roy Breckenridge is the State Geologist of Idaho and has spent many years doing field work, collecting data and publishing professional reports and maps of North Idaho.
