THE REALLY, REALLY BIG FLOODS
DVD $25.00
VHS on sale $12.50

How are landforms such as mesas and canyons created? We all have some idea: it's erosion and Earth's other dynamic forces at work. However, in 1922, Geologist J. H. Bretz proposed the controversial theory that a colossal ice age flood had carved out the landforms of the Pacific Northwest. The program's teen host employs the scientific method to identify solutions. Her construction of an ice dam model, student demonstrations involving small-scale floods, vivid graphic animations and sweeping aerial footage of the Pacific Northwest's dramatic geological features further enliven this thought-provoking program. The Really, Really Big Floods has been honored with the Parents' Choice Recommended seal; the Parents' Choice Awards are given to products that meet and exceed standards set by educators.
